Shipping & returns

Shipping

Every painting is packed by the studio and shipped fully insured from Fredrikstad to your door. Shipping is quoted for each painting based on destination and size, and agreed before you pay. Collection from the studio can also be arranged.

Within Norway, delivery usually takes 2 to 5 working days after payment. Within Europe, 1 to 2 weeks. Elsewhere, 2 to 4 weeks. Large works and framed pieces may take longer to pack safely, and you will be told the expected date when the shipping quote is agreed.

Customs and duties

Deliveries outside Norway may be charged import VAT, customs duties and handling fees by the destination country. These are the buyer’s responsibility and are not included in the price or the shipping quote. Original artworks often qualify for a reduced VAT rate; check with your customs authority.

Damage in transit

Inspect the parcel on arrival. If the painting is damaged, keep all packaging, photograph the damage and the parcel, and email artbykauner@gmail.com within 3 days. The shipment is insured and the cost is covered.

Returns

You may return a painting within 14 days of receiving it, for any reason, under the Norwegian right of withdrawal. Email us within the 14 days, then send the painting back within another 14 days in its original condition and packaging, insured, at your own cost. The purchase price is refunded within 14 days of the painting arriving back. Full details, including the withdrawal form, are in the terms of service.

Commissioned paintings are made to your specification and cannot be returned.
